Recently, two videos have gone viral in WeChat group, which are about how to check whether the phone is monitored by hacked devices and whether the police install tracking chip, and remind everyone to be vigilant.
Mobile phones are embedded with microchips by police
A former mainland soldier’s mobile phone was forcibly taken away by local police on August 14 last year after he returned from petitioners in Beijing on June 4. Later he came across the phone with a chip card attached to the original chip card.
The veteran found that authorities had been able to track his communications and whereabouts since the phone was retrieved. He warned his fellow soldiers across the country to check their phones if they were taken back, and to take the chip cards to the authorities to be prosecuted for invasion of privacy.
The WeChat account was hacked into the device
“Our deputy party secretary said this to me once,” Hubei tian said. “He said, ‘Wherever you go, we know who you’re talking to and who you’re eating with. I knew he was monitoring me, but I didn’t post anything illegal and there was nothing he could do about it.”
When Ms. Tian entered her WeChat and found four devices logged into her WeChat, she said, “they only monitored us for fear of our visitors.”
The list of WeChat device breaches is filled to the brim with pages, according to Internet users who have checked their phones.
Tian warned that these intrusive devices must be deleted, or it will know what you do and where you go.”
A self-examination by the petitioners revealed a list of devices whose WeChat accounts had been hacked. (Provided by interviewees/Epoch Times synthesis)
