Modena Biotechnology said today that production of its COVID-19 vaccine in the United States will reach at least 600 million doses by 2021, 100 million more than originally expected.
Moderna is trying to raise capital and hire people to ship up to 1bn doses of vaccine this year.
The company has so far supplied 18 million doses to the U.S. government, out of a total contract supply of 200 million doses, Modena said. It has also signed a contract with the Government of Canada to supply 40 million doses of vaccine.
