Efen: I am silent about the epidemic so that the world suffers to prevent Putian system to deceive people again

Dr. Ai Fen, one of the sentinels of the Wuhan pneumonia (CCP virus) outbreak, is suspected to have lost the sight of her right eye due to a misdiagnosis at an eye hospital, and she has publicly stated her intention to challenge the medical corruption under the CCP.

Dr. Ai Fen, who has decades of experience in the medical field, went to Aier Eye Hospital in May this year for treatment of an eye disease that was misdiagnosed and led to near blindness two months ago. But no one within the hospital dared to speak out. The news has caused a lot of shock among the people.

Earlier, Aier Eye released a statement saying that the retinal detachment in Ai Fen’s right eye had nothing to do with the cataract surgery. In response, Ai Fen said she was not surprised by the response, as the company had so far tried to hide the truth with faked case photos.

She also pointed out that even if Aier Eye had faked the case, she would have been able to expose their lies through iris examination or even ordinary image comparison, but what concerns her the most now is that Aier Eye had such a big problem and the first thing they wanted to do was to set her right as soon as possible instead of facing medical mistakes.

Speaking to Radio Free Asia, Ai Fen said, “I went to him (attending doctor Wang Yong) after this cataract surgery, and I said I still can’t see clearly in my eyes, and he knew at this time that there was something wrong with my eyes, but he still didn’t tell me, and just watched my retina detach. I now asked him for the photo of my eye before surgery, and he actually gave me a fake one. Later, they called in a panic and said they didn’t have that much memory and the information was deleted. He was weak. That does not matter, the next step can do iris testing. They want me to settle now. One time it was through our chief of ophthalmology who said their director was coming to visit me, which I refused. The second time it was their medical chief, who approached me and said that I should go to the doctor, and I said, “I went to you guys when I first netted off, and you pushed me away yet, and ignored him.”

According to Affin disclosure, Aier Eye belongs to the Putian medical structure. This also means that she faces a corrupt complex of capital and health administrative bureaucrats and doctors colluding in a tripartite manner that ordinary people cannot shake.

She further said, “Aier Ophthalmology has done a great job, and all the ophthalmology meetings are funded by them. The directors of these ophthalmology departments are all invited to be their guests. They have the courage to do this for professionals like me, but the people can’t do it at all. Last year was also a person, I did not stand up to speak, it became full of the world this way, this time I will never fight for my interests, I want to change their entire industry culture.”

Public information shows that Aier Eye Hospital Group Company Limited, referred to as Aier Eye (Aier Eye Hospital Group Company Limited), was established in 2003 by Chen Bang (chairman and general manager) in Changsha High-Tech Development Zone in Longping High-Tech Park (headquarters), then named “Changsha Ltd.” and “Changsha Aier Eye Hospital Group Company Limited”. By 2014, Aier Eye Care had established more than 70 eye hospitals in 24 provinces (cities and districts) in China.

In response to the Affin case, Ren Ruihong, former head of the China Red Cross Society’s major medical aid program, said that Affin faces a huge corruption system, and its fate is in doubt under the dual pressure of deep-rooted structural corruption and official stability maintenance. She said, “This kind of hospital in China, its judges and athletes are a family, too many branches of the wrong knot in the health commission side, you think they can approve so many hospitals, the amount of money is amazingly large. And, you will eventually have to challenge the interests of the ruling class, so how could it be possible for you to shake? Make a fuss, give you a little money, and that’s it.”

At present, Aier Eye spokesman Li Jinzhou has come forward to deny that Aier Eye belongs to the Putian system of hospitals, and he stressed that the blindness of Affin’s right eye has nothing to do with the hospital’s medical malpractice. As for their large-scale disguised bribery in the name of academic conferences, Li Jinzhou refused to respond.

It is reported that Wuhan Health Care Commission has intervened in the matter, and Wang Weihua, deputy director of Wuhan Health Care Commission and party secretary of Wuhan Central Hospital, has even pressured Ai Fen.

On Dec. 30 last year, Ai Fen, head of the emergency department at Wuhan Central Hospital, and several fellow doctors first issued a warning about the emergence of a SARS virus in Wuhan similar to the one that caused about 8,000 infections and nearly 800 deaths worldwide in 2003. one of the eight whistle blowers, Li Wenliang, also had forwarded it to a group of classmates, drawing outside attention. Afterwards, Li Wenliang was accused of “spreading rumors” and was summoned by the police to reprimand him, and later died from the virus.

In an interview with the media after Li’s death, Efen pointed out that it was the officials who continued to conceal and ignore the seriousness of the epidemic that infected a number of doctors and nurses at Wuhan Central Hospital. She said, “If all these doctors could have been alerted in time, maybe this day would not have happened. So, as the person involved, I regret very much that I should have known that today, I cared whether he criticized me or not.”

But since then, Effen has become a key target of stability maintenance, and related reports have been officially deleted. However, many informants have relayed the interview in English, Korean, Japanese, German, Vietnamese, Hebrew and Mandarin, and Effen’s quote “If I had known it would end up like this, I would have said it everywhere” has become the quote of the year.
