The outbreak is now on the rise in many parts of China, including Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, where preventive measures have been escalated, with many villages, towns and neighborhoods closed off by authorities, and residential buildings sealed off in Liaoning province. However, according to private sources, the official figures released by the Communist Party of China on the epidemic have been significantly reduced.

Outbreak in Liaoning: Community building doors sealed off

The epidemic continues to spread in Liaoning and Heilongjiang provinces, and as of December 30, Liaoning has 21 areas at medium risk for the epidemic. In addition to Shenyang, the epidemic is more serious in Dalian. The outbreak medium risk area in Dalian has spread from Jinpu New District, Shahekou District and High-tech District to Jinzhou District.

In addition, all unit buildings in Shengli West District of Jinzhou District were sealed with steel plates by the authorities, prohibiting residents from entering or leaving.

A citizen of Jinzhou District in Dalian told the Epoch Times that the entire Jinzhou District is in a sealed state, with no people or cars allowed on the streets.

People in Dalian are enclosed in their homes, and there is a general lack of living supplies. Videos have surfaced online showing people in the Jinzhou Guanshangyue district collectively chanting angrily in the dark, “Want supplies, want food!” because of the lack of support provided to them with food and other supplies after the closure.

In a closed community in Dalian, an elderly man went downstairs to buy food from a store and was stopped and reprimanded by community members, and the two sides quarreled. The old man said angrily, “This approach of yours is not reasonable.”
