A Chinese @Pnk recently posted online that she bought a fake iPhone 12 Pro Max Blue at Costco, reminding everyone that valuable items are best inspected on the spot before taking them home. The Chinese also said that she herself did not suspect Costco of selling counterfeit goods, but that someone bought a real iPhone at Costco and then put the fake phone back in the box to take it back.
The Canadian Press reports that according to the poster, her family are loyal Costco customers who go there once a week on average. When she recently went to Costco to buy something, she stopped by and bought an iphone 12 phone. When she got it, the plastic box was in good condition. I didn’t expect to get it home and check it out, but the phone inside was a fake.
The fake phone not only has low pixels, the volume buttons are wobbly, the color is not correct, and the fingerprint collection is not high. What’s worse, there are some indescribable pictures inside the phone!
The next day, the posters’ husband went to Costco to return the phone.
The posting said that the Costco clerk said to investigate, called a few professional cell phone employees to check half a day, found that the phone inside even the serial number is not. After determining that it was a fake, the refund was given directly.
The posters reminded everyone that it is best to inspect valuable items on the spot before taking them home. The poster also said that she suspected that the phone might be someone who bought the real one and then maliciously returned it for a fake one in the past.
As you know, Costco’s return policy is very lenient. Even such as the iPhone and these are also considered expensive goods, as long as the goods packaging looks normal, they may not even look at it directly to you to return the goods.
Maybe so, some people who think they are smart will take advantage of these loopholes, buy real and return fake, get a real phone for nothing.
But in fact, Costco is a membership system, returns are recorded. As soon as you check, you will be able to know who returned the fake phone. Perhaps in the future, you will have to pay for your own cleverness. It’s good to be smart, but remember to use it in the right place.
