The great river of history, on this day last year, December 30, 2019, came to a node where a whirlpool was located.
On that day, Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist at Wuhan Central Hospital, saw a patient test report and immediately issued a warning in a group of fellow students at Wuhan University School of Medicine.
Because of this warning, after New Year’s Day, on January 3, Wuhan police issued him a reprimand, and the hospital also made a big effort to apply pressure late at night.
On January 8, Li Wenliang saw an infected person who subsequently became infected and went into the intensive care unit. He signed up to go back to the front line: “Recovered and still on the front line, I don’t want to be a deserter”; “A healthy society can’t have just one voice”, he said.
On February 7, Li Wenliang was killed in the line of duty.
That night, news of his recurring condition was constantly updated, countless people kept vigil, and the country tossed and turned.
Since then, the investigation team sent by the central government has given conclusions: Li Wenliang forwarded and released relevant information, which was forwarded in large quantities and triggered social concern, objectively promoting all parties to pay attention to the epidemic and strengthen prevention and control; Wuhan Public Security Bureau Wuchang Branch Zhongnan Road Police Station issued an inappropriate admonition to Li Wenliang, which was supervised and corrected.
Later, Li Wenliang was named a martyr and was posthumously awarded the “Advanced Individual in the Prevention and Control of the New Pneumonia Epidemic in the National health System” and the “Chinese Youth May Fourth Medal”.
These facts are well known to all, but the reason why I have to endure the pain in my wrist and repeat them with such great effort is not because I have nothing to do, but because: today, before the epidemic is over, a year after Li Wenliang sent the news, on December 30, 2020, there is a group of people who are tampering with history.
It must be blocked.
V “Sima Pingbang”, who has 6.94 million Weibo followers, posted: “The last half month of Li Wenliang’s life, a new crown pneumonia ICU patients, interviewed by a large number of media …… exhausted alive, the murderers are Who?”

With 6.43 million microblog followers, the big V “Diaguariong Lao Liu” posted: “If it wasn’t for the foreign media and public media, continuous crazy interviews, let Dr. Li rest well, he would have had a great hope of recovery!”

With 1.75 million Weibo followers, “Shi Wei” simply rewrote Li Wenliang’s timeline, listing each of the interviewed media, and said, “He died because he was tossed to death by others! The sad thing is that he actively cooperated with these tosses!”

These three microblog accounts with millions of followers, at almost the same time, characterized Li Wenliang’s death as “death from exhaustion and torment by media interviews.
Why are they so synchronized and consistent? Please note that the profiles of all three of them show that they are “Weibo-contracted self-publishers”, what kind of contract did the Weibo platform sign with them?
“Shi Wei’s tweet also said, “It’s hard to say in a nutshell what kind of person Li Wenliang is. The overall person is an ordinary person, a little short of the standard of party members.”
Under his writing, a person recognized by the central government as an advanced individual in the fight against epidemics, a martyr, could not even meet the standard of a party member.
“Shi Wei” also said, “He (Li Wenliang) did not have a big picture view, and failed the rescue and hard work of the country, and his death made the problem more complicated and gave the enemy room to attack.”
Did you hear that? The word “traitor” was not uttered. In this logic, Li Wenliang used his own death to add trouble to the country and give the enemy room to attack, which must be how much hate to the country ah.

These articles also say: “Li Wenliang previously violated the law (disseminating patient information, violating discipline) and the law (violating the epidemic prevention law, spreading false news about the epidemic) and discipline (giving interviews to foreign media while sick)”; “Li Wenliang actually died as a patient and not as a doctor” ……
They are trying to erase the fact that Li Wenliang was on the front line to receive medical treatment that led to the infection and to deny the “death in service”.
These people have been consistent in their attacks on Li Wenliang. Last March, the same “Shi Wei”, wrote a series of articles such as “Blind Blind Horse Li Wenliang”, “Do not allow the rumor stick to become a hero”, “again, eight rumors must be beaten”, attacking Li Wenliang is “a hearsay, jump to conclusions, irregular operation, spread gossip, and do not take themselves seriously doctor “Obviously, Li Wenliang’s performance in this case can be described as useless: frivolous, rash, stubborn and misbehaving. What he needs is a profoundly introspective statement, not a peace-of-mind fluke.”
They characterized Li Wenliang’s smear as a “rumor stick” and a “blind horse”.

Today, years later, these people have become even more powerful, in groups and in step. And, surprisingly, they can get the platform to add, in their comments section, there are many fans attached to.
Distortion, unparalleled distortion.
The speed of reproduction is so fast that it is unnerving.
If right and wrong is turned upside down like this, then our 2020, it’s really a waste of time, that a mortal to come forward, thousands of miles to help, the voice of a soft “regardless of life and death, regardless of pay”, are erased. The heartbreaking cries of a child in a desperate situation, the late night cell phone raised in a building at the same time, have been erased.
In Li Wenliang’s early microblogs, he once retweeted an article by my former colleague Uncle Keng, “There is Please Spring”. In his heart, there is spring and a seed of kindness and warmth. Otherwise, how could we be touched by such a shining soul? How else could we have waited all night for such a young life?

Some friends told me that he was not a classmate of Li Wenliang, but immediately after seeing the group chat screenshot, he prepared a large number of disposable masks for his family in Wuhan, and started wearing them from January 1, and advised safety matters, and thereafter lamented that he had “escaped a disaster”.
After being admonished, after being talked to by the hospital leadership, and even after being warned to be fired, Li Wenliang was the first to come forward and be interviewed by several media outlets. At that time, the epidemic was still very unclear and there was very little public information from the front line, but Li Wenliang’s appearance not only told us what happened at the central hospital in the earliest days, but also what we would experience after the infection.
It was a moment when a general practitioner took the initiative to fulfill his historical responsibility and shine brightly.
I don’t want that light to be sprayed all over with dirty water on the last day of 2020.
On December 26, 2020, the 24th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress adopted the Amendment to the Criminal Law (XI), which contains a clause.
35 was added after Article 299 of the Criminal Law as one of Article 299: “Whoever insults, defames or otherwise infringes upon the reputation or honor of a heroic martyr to the detriment of the public interest, and the circumstances are serious, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, detention, control or deprivation of political rights.”
Li Wenliang is one of the first 14 martyrs identified in this epidemic, I think: the current statements of these vloggers coincidentally have been suspected of infringing on the reputation and honor of martyr Li Wenliang, and damage to the public interests of society, the circumstances are serious, the judicial authorities should be criminally prosecuted.
The life of the law lies in the implementation. The Criminal Law is the law of the land, the law is like a mountain, we will never allow the law to be so blatantly provoked at the time of its introduction. Since some people want to test the law, since some people are not willing to do a good job as individuals, so why not let them experience the taste of the iron fist of the state law?
Applying the law is not enough to take the law into your own hands, it is hereby recommended that the public security organs and the procuratorial organs intervene.
If they are not restrained by social justice, more and more people will follow suit, reversing right and wrong and recklessly falsifying history. If this is the case, how can the martyrs rest in peace? How can the country move forward?
