Japan closed to all countries and regions for one month from Dec. 28

Japan’s Ministry of health, Labour and Welfare said on the 28th that a woman who had stayed in South Africa was infected with a mutated New Coronavirus. Media reports said that this is the first time a case of South African variant New Coronavirus was confirmed in Japan. Following the discovery of a case of variant New Crown, new entry applications from foreign travelers will be prohibited from the 28th until the end of January next year. Foreigners who are already living in Japan can enter the country as long as they have a negative test certificate that meets the requirements of the authorities, but they must still be quarantined at home for 14 days after entry.
