California has a replacement in mind, but He has not yet resigned from the Senate

Democratic vice presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Fla.) takes questions from the media in Florida on Oct. 31, 2020.

On Tuesday (Dec. 22), California Gov. Gavin Newsom appointed Secretary of State Alex Padilla to fill the congressional Senate seat of Biden’s deputy Kamala Harris. However, He has not yet given a date for her resignation.

In a statement Tuesday, Newsome said Padilla is the son of Mexican immigrants and that his parents worked as cooks and house cleaners. Padilla himself worked his way up from humble beginnings to graduate from MIT, then went on to work in the Los Angeles City Council and state Senate, and “became a champion of voting power” as California’s secretary of state.

“Now he will serve in the halls of our nation’s Capitol as California’s next U.S. Senator. He is the first Latino to hold this office.” The statement said.

In a statement provided by the governor’s office, Padilla responded, “I am honored and humbled by the trust Governor Newsom has placed in me, and I will work hard each and every day to live up to that trust and to serve all Californians.”

However, The Gateway Pundit, a conservative news site, revealed that Padilla is a scandal-ridden Democratic politician who has been roaming the California “swamp” for decades.

Earlier this month, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee and the House Administration Committee called for an investigation into Padilla because his office provided a “highly questionable” $35 million taxpayer-funded no-bid contract to a company tied to the Biden campaign, the paper said.

Padilla’s office is accused of taking grants from a Communist Party virus (COVID-19) stimulus program and funneling them to a Biden-linked company to influence the outcome of the federal election.

“As you know, it is illegal to use HAVA funds to contact voters.” “Under U.S. Election Assistance Commission rules, HAVA grants cannot be used to solicit votes or encourage voting,” wrote Republican Rep.

“Secretary of State Padilla’s decision to fast-track no-bid contracts to a pro-Biden firm raises serious ethical and legal questions that we must get answers to immediately,” Republican Rep. Comer said in a statement, “and it appears that taxpayer funds are being office was illegally allocated, enabling Democratic agents to (illegally) contact voters and potentially gain access to sensitive voter information.”

San Francisco attorney and Bay Area Republican National Committee member Harmeet Dhillon tweeted the same day (22nd) in response to the appointment, “One of the worst election officials in the country is going to Washington and he’s not elected!!! This will be a fitting end to his failed (Secretary of State) tenure. Remember the last time businesses and churches were shut down during a pandemic lockdown and he said it was cool for strangers to go door-to-door collecting ballots?”

Also, Joe Biden, the self-proclaimed “president-elect,” has not yet resigned her seat in the U.S. Senate. On November 3, 2008, 10 days after his presidential victory, Barack Obama announced that he would resign from the Illinois Senate three days later and asked the governor of Illinois to appoint his replacement.

On Saturday (19), prominent U.S. attorney Lin Wood tweeted, “Ask yourself this question this morning: Why hasn’t Kamala Harris (Hejinli) resigned from the U.S. Senate? ” He also implied that “there are no coincidences.”
