President Trump pardons 20 more people, including 2 convicted in Russia probe, 3 former congressmen

President Donald Trump on Tuesday granted pardons to a group of people, including those charged in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

In all, Trump issued 20 pardons and commutations. Those pardoned include former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, former San Diego U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, former Rep. Chris Collins and Dutch attorney Alex van der Zwaan.

A White House statement said, “Today’s pardons help right a wrong – Mueller’s team caused so many people (to be wrongfully convicted).”

Among those pardoned were four Blackwater guards who were convicted of killing Iraqi civilians.
