Two cardinals close to Catholic Pope Francis have been infected with the 2019 coronavirus disease (Chinese Communist virus, COVID-19), Vatican sources said today.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni said the head of the Pontifical Relief Services, Polish Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, “has a confirmed diagnosis of 2019 coronavirus disease.
Jorski, 57, has symptoms of pneumonia and is currently under observation at a hospital in Rome, Italy.
Officials are trying to confirm Jorski’s recent contact history, but it is known that he fixes to meet with the pope.
A Vatican source told AFP that Giuseppe Bertello, the 78-year-old Italian cardinal and president of the Vatican City State, was also diagnosed.
