1.95 Million Communist Party Members Infiltrate Overseas U.S. Lawmakers: Strictly Scrutinize Visas

Citing the latest polls, U.S. Senator James Lankford suggested during a Senate hearing on December 16 that this year’s election should be investigated in the same way as Russia’s election meddling was investigated four years ago.

Recently, an investigation by the Inter-Parliamentary Policy Alliance on China (IPAC) found that after the leaking of the Communist Party’s list of 1.95 million members in August this year, these communists have infiltrated several corners of the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and other Western countries. U.S. Senator James Lankford told the Epoch Times that the United States needs to be more vigilant and scrutinize visas.

He said, “We need to be more vigilant about the relationship between people coming to the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, whether they’re on student visas or work visas.”

The list contains the names, dates of birth, ethnicity, addresses, phone numbers, positions and other personal information of about 1.95 million CCP members who belong to more than 79,000 CCP branches and are all required to take an oath to join the party. The infiltrated units, including the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, Astellicom, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, and even the British Consulate in Shanghai, had CCP members working under the British Intelligence Group. They set up party branches in them to secretly serve the CCP.

On December 3, the U.S. State Department confirmed new restrictions on visas for Chinese Communist Party members traveling to the United States. Under the new rules, the non-immigrant visa (B1/B2) for CCP members and their immediate family members will be reduced from ten years to one month and will be a single-entry visa.

Senator Lankford said, “We have great respect for the Chinese people, but we are also very concerned about the CCP’s theft, sending spies, etc.”

“While they [the Chinese Communist Party] are oppressing the Chinese people, they are also using our free society to take away our freedoms.”

Senior U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX)

Senior U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas), interviewed on the issue of alleged Chinese Communist Party infiltration of the U.S. election, said, “There is no question that the Chinese Communist Party has spared no effort to advance its economic and national security agenda, including influencing members of Congress by hiring lobbyists who do not identify themselves or represent foreign powers, such as through Confucius Institutes, universities, and even intelligence operations. Like the relationship between that (Chinese) woman and Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA).”

Democratic U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has recently been embroiled in a Communist Party “beauty ploy” scandal.

Axios.com reported last week that a suspected Chinese Communist spy, Fang Fang, or Christine Fang, had close ties to several U.S. politicians, including Swalwell, a California Democrat.

Senator Cornyn said, “…these are all means by which the Chinese Communist Party is trying to influence U.S. policy.”

“We need to make sure that these (U.S.) policies are made by Americans and not by foreign embassies.”
