Brazil’s president refuses to vaccinate: world rush to take vaccine doesn’t make sense, outbreak nears end

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who said he would never get vaccinated against Wuhan pneumonia or ask people to get the vaccine, recently made another shocking statement, saying on Saturday (19) that the world’s rush to get the vaccine was unjustified, and even saying that in his opinion the epidemic was nearing its end, according to Reuters.

Instead, Brazil’s President Bossonaro said, “The data has shown that the pandemic is really nearing its end, and we’re just dealing with a small uptick right now.

“But the rush to get the vaccine is unjustified because it’s playing with human lives. Posonaro still called Wuhan pneumonia a “minor cold” and was even more skeptical of the effectiveness of wearing masks against the epidemic.
