In 1954, the Banma people’s government was officially established in Sai Laitang, Wang Yimei is the organization minister Wang Xinguang from the provincial party school selected cadres, once to the county was assigned to the league committee as an officer.

My mother was helpless: “You forget that Banma is a pastoral area, there are cows and sheep, so you eat more.”
The two of them gobbled it up and soon finished the pot of food.
During that time, the couple took the children in my house to play the floor, Wang Yimei often told my mother about her life in rural Xingtai for three years: learning from farmers to plant crops, vegetables, soybeans and peanuts, and in the fall to dig sweet potatoes to collect corn, all the work, the days were already hard, but also had a big daughter, life is even heavier.

Wang Yimei pondered for a long time, think the crux of the problem is still related to Ma Zili, they bypassed Ma Zili and the county organization department, the petition letter directly to the state government and the provincial government, but still like a stone sinking without news – later she learned that these petition letters submitted, no one even read, directly returned to the Banma County Organization Department.
For a while, they always quarrel, because Wang Yimei keep writing letters, spent a lot of money on stamps, even to the parents back home are not enough money.
Looking for the county mayor, looking for the director of culture, looking for the minister of propaganda, even the director of animal husbandry, as long as the county leaders, Wang Yimei ran to, to people over and over again: “Organization Department how could I lose my file? I did not expect that a few days later, the county party committee temporarily decided to let Wang Xicai lead a group, including my father, together to Zhiqin Township to engage in social education. This is a political task, Wang Xicai can only entrust the son to my mother.
The house was not in a state of flux, and after two days, my mother suddenly received a telegram from her home in Henan, saying that my grandfather was critically ill. My mother lost her mother when she was a week old, since she was raised by her grandfather, the feelings of father and daughter can be imagined, so she entrusted Wang Yimei’s son to her best friend, and returned home in a hurry.
My mother left a few days, Wang Yimei’s son began to diarrhea. Auntie rushed the child to the county hospital, which was in poor condition at the time, and did not wait until that night, the child could not resist the continuous dehydration and did not breathe.
That night, Ai Er found me and said that her brother had died, and cried for a while afterwards. I then accompanied her to the hospital and secretly looked at the dead child placed on the hospital bed.
Wang Yimei is a few days after the return, the file is still not found. On the way back encountered heavy snow blocked the road, and delayed a few days, arrived home only to learn the sad news that her son died of illness. She went to the mountains like crazy to find a place to bury her son, but no one dared to tell her.
She wandered on the hillside all day, and her sorrowful, mournful cries were creepy. Even I did not dare to approach.
After a while, the organization minister gave Wang Yimei an idea, suggesting that she go to Lanzhou to find the old leaders who assigned her to Qinghai, to see if the original unit can make up a copy of the file.
Wang Yimei feel very reasonable, they set off to Lanzhou. But people said that the leaders had long been assigned to go to Baiyin or Dunhuang, she took the train and went to Dunhuang, and then to Baiyin, a big circle, a lot of trouble, only to know that the old leaders were transferred back to other units in Lanzhou, and then go back to Lanzhou, which found the old leaders.

The county organization department clerk dead bite said that the year simply did not see her file. This summer, Wang Yimei always feel chest pain, to the county hospital to check, the doctor suspected her breast problems, suggested that she go to Xining detailed examination, but also said that this and long-term sulking has a lot to do with. To Xining, Wang Yimei really found breast cancer, in the provincial hospital to do the removal surgery.

By a paper file ruined the life of the woman

The next morning, Wang Yimei went to the post office to make a long-distance call to tell the news to the old leader Wang Xinguang, the old leader again to the Banma County Organization Department called, asked the current Minister Zhang to solve as soon as possible.
Minister Zhang looked at Wang Yimei’s file, then knew that Wang Yimei’s brother Wang Yichuai, in 1947 Mengliang Mountains battle to capture the Nationalist integrated 74th Division that tragic battle died, is a special hero. Wang Xicai heeded the advice of my father and his four daughters, to go to the south slope of their dead son’s remains for many years out of the tomb, with Wang Yimei buried in the outskirts of Banma County on a hillock, in the words of Wang Xicai, let her son accompany her not lonely.
