The Chinese Embassy also pointed out that in order to prevent interstate travel after testing, passengers traveling to China must have their nucleic acid and antibody samples taken at the departure point of their direct flights from China to the United States and sent to the relevant laboratory for testing.
Currently, the departure points of direct flights from China to the United States include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Detroit, and Dallas; passengers should go to the departure point of the flight in advance to complete the sampling of nasopharyngeal swabs and venous blood, and wait for the test results there, upload the test report immediately after obtaining it, and apply for and receive a health code before taking the flight; the sampling must be sent to the laboratory announced by the embassy or consulate in the United States for testing, and they should confirm with the sampling agency in advance. The Chinese Embassy said that the list of relevant laboratories will be published separately and adjusted from time to time, so the public is invited to pay close attention to the notices and reminders, which can be found in the “Important Notice” on the official website of the Chinese Embassy: https://bit.ly/3rg9t87.
In addition, when applying for a health code, in addition to the nucleic acid and antibody reports specified in the backend of the applet, proof of airline itinerary and sampling at the place of departure (clinic report, certification letter, photos or receipts of the sampling site, etc.) must also be uploaded.
The Chinese Embassy also said that if there is any content in the previously issued relevant notices, FAQs, and reminders that this notice is inconsistent, this notice shall prevail.
