A spokesman for the founder of Bridgewater, the world’s largest hedge fund known as the “King of Crocodiles,” confirmed that Dalio’s 42-year-old son, Devon, was killed in a car accident Thursday (17).

According to reports, an Audi crashed into a Verizon store in a shopping mall and caught fire.

According to Devon’s LinkedIn profile, he worked as a project manager at Bridgewater and served as a director of the Dalio Foundation.

Dalio said on Twitter that he was mourning with his family and dealing with the aftermath, and did not wish to communicate with the outside world for the time being.
