Bloomberg: 17 countries in emerging markets next year’s outlook assessment China at the bottom

Bloomberg’s latest survey of 17 emerging market countries shows that the five countries with the best outlook in 2021 are Thailand, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia, with China in last place in the ranking of 17 countries.

Taiwan’s “Free Finance” reported on December 17, citing a Bloomberg survey, based on 11 economic and financial performance indicators, Bloomberg evaluated and ranked 17 emerging market countries’ prospects in 2021.

Thailand is expected to outperform expectations in 2021 because of its strong reserves and high potential for capital inflows into the country’s portfolio, ranking first, while Russia ranks second due to its strong foreign accounts and fiscal position, as well as the undervalued ruble exchange rate.

According to Bloomberg survey, the 5 emerging market countries with the best outlook in 2021 are Thailand, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia, while China is ranked at the bottom of the list of 17 countries due to lagging performance in various indicators; Brazil is ranked 16th due to fiscal deficit and debt problems.
