The senate hearing was blunt: fraud has occurred and the election has been stolen

At a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee (HSGA) on Election irregularities on Wednesday, Kentucky Republican Rand Paul made it clear that electoral fraud is a real problem.

Senator Paul was blunt: “Fraud has occurred, elections have been stolen in many ways, and the only way to solve that problem is to strengthen the law.”

Paul then took direct aim at Chris Krebs, the former head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, after Krebs declared at the hearing that while elections can be messy at times, there is no question that they are safe.

“I think Krebs’s job is to prevent foreigners from meddling in elections and create the safest elections based on Internet and technology security,” Paul said, but Krebs has never expressed an opinion on whether the dead voted or not.

“I don’t think he examined it. Did he check on the non-referendum?” Mr. Paul added, “If Mr. Krebs says this is the safest election because no dead people voted and no one violated mail-in voting rules, I think it’s wrong.”

As Paul spoke, Krebs listened motionless in a mask, arms folded across his chest.

Paul’s stance is striking because Paul is one of the senators who could join the House of Representatives in the fight to overturn the election if he wanted to.

Representative Mo Brooks, a Republican, has said he will challenge and overturn the results in several key swing states, with dozens of House Republicans backing them and a growing coalition.

“When I called the hearing a week ago, there were more issues and court cases pending than there are today,” HSGA Chairman Ron Johnson said at the hearing. But even with the court’s decision and the Electoral College’s 306 votes, a large portion of the American public still believes the November results are illegitimate. This is an unreasonable state of affairs in our democratic republic.”

Stewart Rhodes, the founder of Oath Keepers, the largest armed militia in the United States, also addressed the issue of the illegal results: “I think about half the population in this country would not acknowledge That Biden was legal. They will not recognize the election.”

That means that everything that comes out of Mr. Biden’s mouth will be considered ineffective and ineffective, Mr. Rhodes said. Any law he signs will not be recognized. Like the founding fathers, we will end up with a boycott.

Rhodes founded Keepers of the Pledge, a nonpartisan group of former military, police and first responders.
