Pompeo, who came in contact with the virus, tested negative and declared himself quarantined

Us Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced a self-quarantine after coming into contact with a person who tested positive for the Coronavirus (CORonavirus). The State Department says Pompeo tested negative for the virus.

A State Department spokesman said Wednesday that while Pompeo tested negative for the virus, he was being quarantined in accordance with CDC guidelines.

“Secretary Of State Mike Pompeo has been confirmed to have had contact with a Chinese Communist Party person who tested positive for the virus. We are not able to identify the person for privacy reasons.” A State Department spokesman said.

The spokesman also said Pompeo is being closely monitored by the State Department’s medical team.

On December 6, Rudy Giuliani, the head of Trump‘s campaign lawyer, was hospitalized after testing positive for the virus. On Dec. 8, Mr. Giuliani said all but a cough had gone away. On Dec. 10, Giuliani was released from the hospital. After being released from the hospital, Giuliani said Trump provided him with key “advice, support and friendship. He’s not just a good president, he’s a good friend.”
