Outrageous Pompeo’s wife under investigation; Republican bigwig changes position, leads 18 lawmakers to propose resolution supporting Trump’s legal battle

Recently, the mainstream media began to report that the FBI and DOJ are investigating Hunter Biden, son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. But Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said the left-media behavior was “outrageous,” and here’s why.

On Thursday, the Georgia House of Representatives held a hearing on alleged fraud in the 2020 election, but Joe’s Secretary of State refused to attend. The Joe House Speaker angrily accused the Secretary of State of unparalleled behavior and sought to remove the Secretary of State.

On Friday, Liz Cheney, the number three Republican in the House and chair of the House Republican Conference, brought a team of 18 House members to support Trump’s legal challenge. It is worth noting that Cheney has previously publicly resisted the Trump team’s legal battle.

Secretary of State Pompeo’s wife Susan (Susan Pompeo) has accompanied her husband on numerous overseas trips and has been persecuted by the left. The Office of Inspector General (OIG) launched a year-long, labor-intensive investigation that concluded nothing illegal had been done. I wonder who is really doing this?

FBI and DOJ Investigate Hunter Trump: Why Didn’t They Say Before the Election

President Trump tweeted on Thursday evening (Dec. 10), “Why didn’t the fake news media, the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ) report on the Biden story before the election?” “Oh never mind, we still won the election anyway – 75 million votes!!!”

In a statement Wednesday, Hunter said, “Yesterday, I learned for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware also informed my legal counsel yesterday that they are investigating my tax matters.”

Hunter did not further specify the nature of that investigation. However, sources familiar with the matter told The Associated Press that the tax investigation is at least partially related to Hunter’s business dealings in China. Authorities have in fact opened the investigation since 2018, and investigators did not begin contacting Hunter Biden until recently because the Justice Department opposed making the probe public before the election, the sources said.

President Trump also wrote in another tweet that “(if Biden is elected) the Biden administration will be a scandal-ridden mess for years to come” and that “it will be easier for the U.S. Supreme Court to follow the Constitution and do what everyone knows must be done. They must show great courage and wisdom. Save America!!!”

President Trump is accused of deliberately withholding military aid to Ukraine to pressure the country to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter for their own political gain. Hunt served on the board of Burisma Holdings, Ukraine’s largest natural gas company, when his father was vice president, and Biden is a Democratic presidential contender in 2020. Trump has been accused of interfering in the election as a result. The impeachment resulted in Trump being acquitted of all charges.

In a Friday tweet, Trump said, “Now it turns out that my call to the President of Ukraine – which many people, including me, called ‘perfect’ – was even better than that. I predicted Biden’s corruption by saying to summon the A.G. (Attorney General) (to investigate), – but perhaps he knew about the corruption of the impeachment scam?”

Senate Finance Committee Chairman: Biden’s family has been investigated for more than a year, and the left media acted “outrageously”

On Thursday, December 10, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said the committee has been investigating the Biden family’s financial dealings for more than a year, but the so-called “liberal” media has deliberately failed to report the investigation and related evidence in order not to influence Biden’s presidential campaign.

The source said that, in fact, because the Justice Department opposed to open investigations against Biden before the election, so only recently investigators began to contact Hunter.

We found that they (Biden) were involved in alleged criminal financial transactions around the world, including with China, which raised concerns about his alleged counterintelligence activities,” Grassley said. We made public what our investigation uncovered, but the liberal media chose to ignore our work …… to protect their leader, (who) even misleadingly claimed our work was disinformation from Russia.”

Grassley believes it is “outrageous” that the media, which is the “fourth estate,” would ignore the facts. He added, “I’m not going to take this lightly (because of the media’s willful neglect), it’s a very serious matter. (The media) do not need Hunter himself to confirm anything, or whether they have received a subpoena, this (the incident itself) has long been enough to attract the attention of the media.”

House Republican Conference Chairman Shuai team of 18 members of the House of Representatives proposed a resolution to support Trump’s legal challenge

On Friday (Dec. 11), a team of 18 lawmakers led by House Republican Conference Chairman Liz Cheney (R-Texas) and Rep. Ken Buck (R-Mich.) introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives to support President Trump’s legal action over election fraud.

According to the resolution seen by Fox News, the House members said directly in the resolution, “Support President Trump’s efforts to ensure that every legitimate vote in the November 2020 presidential election is counted.”

The lawmakers also said, “Support President Trump’s efforts to investigate and bring to justice those who committed election fraud.”

Apollo.com commentator Wang Dukran said what is of interest is the shift in attitude of Cheney, the number three House Republican. Perhaps Cheney saw the impact of the hearings on American public opinion, perhaps Cheney recognized that after conceding this election, the Republican Party would never turn over a new leaf, or perhaps Cheney also assessed that Trump actually had a good chance of winning, perhaps both.

On Nov. 23, when President Trump said news of election fraud in Georgia was about to come to light, Cheney came out and said that if Trump could not prove that there was a dirty trick in the election process, he would have to accept the election results. The news was also put on Twitter by Trump to criticize, he said “Sorry Cheney, I can not accept the results of the election produced by thousands of forged votes, these votes are enough to easily overturn the election, you just do not want me to withdraw the U.S. troops home”.

The resolution is another expression of Republican lawmakers’ support for President Trump’s challenge to election fraud.

Joe State House Holds Election Fraud Hearing, Secretary of State Declines to Attend

The Georgia House of Representatives held a hearing Thursday (10) on alleged fraud in the 2020 election that was overseen by the state House Government Affairs Committee, but the Joe Secretary of State declined to attend.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has yet to offer an explanation as to why he did not attend the hearing.

Gabriel Sterling, manager of the voting system in the secretary of state’s office, responded on Twitter that their legal counsel advised them not to attend because of pending litigation. He also argued that Trump’s legal team was invited to the hearing and accused the team of constantly “spreading false information” that is “putting lives at risk.

However, Sterling did not further explain what he meant by “life-threatening.

In response to the refusal of Joe State officials to attend the hearing, attorney Lin Wood also tweeted that the secretary of state could not be summoned unless a special session of the Legislature was called.

Attorney Lin Wood also posted an impressive video specifically to emphasize that the bad guys will not prevail.

Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, attended the hearing by videoconference because he is still recovering and in quarantine after contracting the Communist Chinese virus. He and two witnesses read copies of sworn testimony. J. Christian Adams, president and general counsel of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, a conservative legal group, laid out a list of flaws regarding the mail-in ballot.

Overall, Adams said, mail-in voting is bad because it disenfranchises voters, undermines transparency, creates loopholes and storage problems, and lacks centralized oversight. He noted that there is no way to correct mail-in ballots and voters have no way to confirm that ballots were actually received.

Joe House Speaker: Seeking Removal of Secretary of State

On Thursday (Dec. 10), Georgia House Speaker David Ralston (R) announced that he will seek to replace the state’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R).

The Republican state House speaker told reporters at a news conference that he wants to work to pass a state constitutional amendment that would transfer the power to choose a secretary of state from voters to lawmakers.

A constitutional amendment in Joe would require a two-thirds majority in both the state Senate and House to pass. Between 1996 and 2018, about 84 percent of amendments passed on the ballot. Republicans held a 35-21 majority in the state Senate and a 105-75 majority in the state House of Representatives. But to pass the amendment, both chambers still need to get some Democratic support.

Ralston said he was “quite shocked” that Laffensperger’s office declined to attend Thursday’s state hearing. He said, “In my career serving this Legislature, I can’t even remember a constitutional officer refusing to come before a House or Senate committee to provide information that might be helpful to the people’s representatives.”

Things are getting complicated as Pompeo’s wife is investigated

Susan Pompeo, Secretary of State Pompeo’s wife, has been criticized by Democrats for draining government resources after accompanying her husband on eight overseas business trips since 2018.

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) released a report on Thursday (10) after nearly a year of investigation, interviewing dozens of government employees and examining thousands of pages of documents.

The report said Susan’s overseas trips with Pompeo did not violate any laws, rules or diplomatic codes; Acting Inspector General Matthew Klimow said six of Susan’s trips did not have proper prior written approval or documentation, and recommended that the secretary of state’s office obtain formal written approval for internal management and record-keeping purposes for future family trips.

The U.S. Secretary of State’s Office of the Secretary of State, in the future, should obtain formal written approval for internal management and record-keeping.

Under Secretary of State Brian Bulatao blasted the inspector general for wasting time and resources writing the report and giving only recommendations on administrative matters. If this should have been done, it would have been more appropriate to handle the matter internally without alerting the public.

Overseas netizens are lopsided, believing that this is a political persecution of Pompeo by the Democratic Party.
