On December 8, President Trump signed an executive order at the Operation Warp Speed vaccine conference in Washington, D.C., to ensure that the U.S. population has priority access to the vaccine for the Chinese Communist virus.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Friday (Dec. 11) a delay in approving the Pfizer vaccine, just as the battle for market share of the Chinese Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia) vaccine was about to be fired. In response, President Donald Trump (Trump) tweeted early in the morning asking the FDA to “get the vaccine out now”.
In a tweet, Trump criticized the FDA for being too bureaucratic in its approach to approving viral vaccines and for stalling.
Trump called on FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn: “Get the vaccine out now. @SteveFDA stop playing (political) games and start saving lives ！！！！”
A U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory panel voted Thursday (Dec. 10) in favor of granting Pfizer and Biotech an emergency authorization for a viral vaccine, but the vaccine still needs to be recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. The committee is scheduled to meet between Friday and Sunday (Dec. 13).
Trump also expressed frustration with Democratic candidate Joe Biden’s attempt to take over his political record on rapid vaccine development, noting that former President Barack Obama’s administration botched the development of a vaccine for the H1N1 virus.
Trump said, “The swine flu (H1N1), and the Obama administration’s attempt at a vaccine by Joe Biden, was a total disaster. Now, they want to come in and take over one of the ‘greatest and fastest medical miracles in modern history.’ I don’t think so!”
Trump then summed up the motivation behind his presidency and his push for rapid vaccine development in another tweet. He wrote, “I just want to stop the world from killing each other!”
