FBI and DOJ investigating Hunt Trump: why not say before the election

Recently, the mainstream media began reporting that the FBI and DOJ were investigating Hunter Biden, son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. President Donald Trump then responded: Why not announce this before the election?

“Why didn’t the fake news media, the FBI and DOJ report on the Biden story before the election?” The president tweeted Thursday night (Dec. 10), “Oh, it’s OK, we still won the election anyway – by 75,000,000 votes!!!”

In a statement Wednesday, Hunter said, “Yesterday, I learned for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware also informed my legal counsel yesterday that they are investigating my tax matters.”

Hunter did not further specify the nature of that investigation. However, sources familiar with the matter told The Associated Press that the tax investigation is at least partially related to Hunter’s business dealings in China. Authorities have in fact opened the investigation since 2018, and investigators did not begin contacting Hunter Biden until recently because the Justice Department objected to making the probe public before the election, the sources said.

In a tweet early Friday, Trump said Attorney General William Barr “may have known about the corruption in the impeachment scam. The impeachment proceedings were based on a phone call he had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July 2019.

President Trump is accused of deliberately withholding military aid to Ukraine to pressure the country to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter for their own political gain. Hunt served on the board of Burisma Holdings, Ukraine’s largest natural gas company, when his father was vice president, and Biden is a Democratic presidential contender in 2020. Trump has been accused of interfering in the election as a result. The impeachment resulted in Trump being acquitted of all charges.

“Now it turns out that the call I made to the president of Ukraine – which many people, including me, called ‘perfect’ – was even better than that. I predicted Biden corruption, said to summon A.G. (Attorney General) (to investigate), – but maybe he knew about the corruption of the impeachment scam?” Trump said in a tweet.

The New York Post exposed a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden in October of this year (2020). The emails and messages noted that Hunter had connected the Bresma executive to his then-vice president father, Joe Biden, in 2015.

Joe Biden himself admitted in 2018 that he forced Ukraine to stop its corruption investigation into Bresma by withholding $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees.

President Trump also wrote in another tweet that “(if Biden is elected) the Biden administration will be a scandal-ridden mess for years to come” and that “it will be easier for the U.S. Supreme Court to follow the Constitution and do what everyone knows must be done. They must show great courage and wisdom. Save America!!!”

The NewPost story also included a “disturbing” mega-deal between Hunt and China’s largest energy company, Huaxin Energy, in which his father, Joe Biden, was again involved, and was later confirmed.

Tony Bobulinski, a former Biden family business partner, confirmed in October that the “big boss” whose emails showed Hunt holding a 10 percent stake in the joint venture with Huaxin Energy was Joe Biden. Bobulinski said the Biden family had received substantial benefits from the Chinese Communist Party and had “compromised” with it.

Following Hunter’s statement on Wednesday, the mainstream media, which had previously labeled the New York Post’s report on the Biden family scandal as a “baseless conspiracy theory,” a “smear campaign” and “Russian disinformation,” began to rally to the cause. Mainstream media outlets that had previously labeled the Biden family scandal “baseless conspiracy theories,” “smear campaigns” and “Russian disinformation” began to “follow through. Among them was the New York Post’s extensive coverage of Hunter Biden’s alleged activities in the weeks leading up to the election.

A later tweet from Trump mentioned that Texas was seeking to file a lawsuit in court, and several Republican lawmakers have expressed support for the lawsuit, as have 17 other states.

Republican Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, said the media’s suppression of the Hunt scandal without reporting it has caused serious interference in the election.

He said the so-called mainstream media’s influence and interference in the election has been far greater than “any Russian interference. A McClatchy poll showed that 36 percent of Biden voters had never heard of Hunter Biden because of (press) censorship and suppression,” he said. Of those, 13 percent said they would not have voted for Biden if they had known.”

The New York Times reported that the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office opened an investigation into Hunter Biden in late 2018, after his father became a presidential candidate. The investigation includes alleged money laundering and tax issues. Sources with knowledge of the investigation said the money laundering portion of the case has not been taken seriously.

Another person, who asked not to be identified, said federal investigators issued several subpoenas Tuesday, including one for Hunter Biden.
