White House physician Dr. Conley issued his first health statement since President Trump’s release from the hospital on October 6, noting that Trump was fully rested on his first night back at the White House and was asymptomatic on October 6. His vital signs continue to be stable, with oxygen levels at 95 to 97 percent.
Trump was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on the 2nd for treatment of the new coronavirus, and he was discharged to the White House on the evening of the 5th, but will continue to receive treatment.
Sean Conley issued his first health memo after Trump’s return to the White House at noon on the 6th. The memo notes that the medical team will consult with Trump on the morning of the 6th. Trump was fully rested last night and is not experiencing any symptoms today.
The statement notes that Trump’s vital signs and physical examination appear stable, with a dynamic oxygen concentration of 95 to 97 percent. Overall, Trump’s condition is quite good.
Trump had two episodes of low blood oxygen concentration after his diagnosis on the 2nd of July, and was treated with oxygen and steroids. He was administered the antiviral drug remdesivir during his hospitalization and continued to receive the steroid dexamethasone. He is scheduled to receive his fifth and final dose of remdesivir at the White House on the 6th.
Trump appeared to be in good spirits on his first day back at the White House, sending out 12 tweets in one morning, including one that was tagged with a warning for incorrectly comparing the new coronavirus to the flu. In another tweet, he said he was looking forward to the second presidential debate in Miami on the 15th.
