The PLA has recently made frequent incursions into airspace southwest of Taiwan, launching three sorties within 20 hours.

The PLA has recently made frequent incursions into Taiwan’s southwest airspace, disturbing Taiwan three times in a twenty-hour period from 6:00 p.m. Thursday (15th) to 1:43 p.m. Friday (16th).

According to records, a Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft entered Taiwan’s southwest airspace at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and was dispersed by radio; at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, the Chinese Communist military aircraft again intruded into Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) at an altitude of 4,000 meters, the same altitude as Thursday night’s disturbance; at 1:43 p.m., it again entered the southwest airspace, also at an altitude of 4,000 meters, and the Taiwan Air Force routinely placed it on alert and dispersed it by radio.

A fan page of “Taiwan’s Southwest Airspace” analyzed that the night before last, the official website of Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense “Instant Military News” released the PLA’s activities into Taiwan’s southwest airspace, revealing that a PLA Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft had entered Taiwan’s southwest airspace, and based on the height of the flight disturbance, it was estimated that it was a Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft.
