A North Korean resident was shot in public in front of 500 people for illegally selling South Korean movies and records, as his family was forced to witness.
According to the Daily NK, the man, surnamed Lee, was shot 40 days after his arrest. Lee was the chief engineer of the Wonsan Agricultural Management Committee and was charged with anti-socialist behavior.
