A little, to taste

A little, a moderate amount, do these measurements look like headaches? But in our Chinese recipes, these quantifiers are standard.

There is nothing we can do about it. Not much of what our ancestors left behind is accurate, but it’s all vague and ambiguous.

Speaking of trying, remember, the word in front of it is “tasting”, which is the same word used by Shennong to taste a hundred herbs. How do you know how much is a little and how much is the right amount without tasting?

In fact, we often overdo it.

As the saying goes: A good cook is a handful of salt ……

Come on, you just shake your hand a little, and then the salt is heavy, and then explain to the people around you: good cook with a handful of salt? ……

For the soft-spoken, this is a nightmare.

By the way, this “little” is the wisdom of life. It’s what we call “seeing is believing”. More or less? This is not really the problem, the problem is how you weigh, how to choose, how to taste your life.

Don’t underestimate the word salty and light, the taste of life is indispensable, heavy mouth and light mouth, in fact, are human ecology.

A few days ago, I suddenly realized the wisdom of “a little” and “the right amount” of life. Through this, our ancestors reminded us that we need to define and control our own life, not some so-called “science”.

If the food is salted, the worst-case scenario is to throw it away, but there are times when we have to eat it with our own scalp. The bitterness of it is something that only I can experience, and I can’t even say it.

The so-called sour, sweet, bitter, spicy and salty, whether a little or the right amount, do not think to ask others, ask yourself to know.
