National Pulse reported on May 19 that relatives of George Floyd have repeatedly contributed to a Communist-run media program promoting propaganda to shrink funding for U.S. police.
Floyd’s aunt, Angela Harrelson, appeared in an exclusive interview with the Communist Global Television Network (CGTN) last July after appearing in the network’s “Police Brutality Victims Call For Police Reform Reform” documentary.
As a foreign agent registered in the United States, CGTN is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party and propagates forced confessions and actively discredits credible allegations of genocide in Xinjiang, China.
Harrison narrates in one of the opening scenes of the documentary, “I felt that a modern-day lynching had just happened. That’s how I felt. “She felt that “when it comes to the police, it reminds me of the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, when the police saw black and brown people, they would go after runaway slaves.”
Harrison also expressed support for eliminating funding for the U.S. police, “We just need to start over, clean house and give new people a new vision.”
The documentary, starring Harrison, also includes an exclusive interview with Justin Blake, uncle of Jacob Blake, who was shot and killed by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last Aug. 23 for interacting with police officers while armed with a knife.
Justin also told the Globe interviewer that “people are tired of the fact that if it can happen to little Jacob, if it can happen to Mr. Floyd, if it can happen to Breonna Taylor, it can happen to you. That’s what people keep telling us.”
Justin also called for the elimination of police funding in the interview. He said, “It’s 2021, you’re dealing with educated, mature people, and if we gave police funding to communities, educate the youngest, hire some seniors, initiate some programs, the number of police officers would be greatly reduced. Cutting police funding is taking a big chunk of their money and giving it to communities that are overly monitored by the police.”
The documentary, released on May 17, 2021, also includes interviews with relatives of others who have been shot by police, including the daughter of Lionel Lewis, who claims, “I believe police should be de-funded.”
