Fremont, California police CBS SF arrested a man Thursday morning on suspicion of X-assaulting a woman, who police say may be connected to another X-assault that day.

According to police, police responded to a residence near Grimmer Boulevard and Blacow Road around 11 a.m. Someone called police, who arrived on the scene to find a woman being X-assaulted by the suspect.

A member of the public took photos of the rapist as police took him away, and the suspect was allegedly “continuing” when police arrived, which was quite ridiculous.

Police managed to stop the attack and took the suspect into custody.

According to a tipster, an extremely bad sexual assault occurred near Irvington High School, a Chinese neighborhood in Fremont. The perpetrator assaulted and raped a woman in broad daylight right in a resident’s front yard, and the sexual assault was still going on when the police arrived!

The incident instantly shocked local residents, and many people were more than worried about the safety of their children after school, as the school district was about to open.

Fremont police said the suspect, a homeless man from Hayward, was linked to at least three cases and will face charges.

The suspect, Alexander Lomax, 28, was arrested on Thursday after police say he tried to commit aggravated sexual assault and violently beat a 67-year-old Asian woman in broad daylight in the front yard of a home near FremontGrimmer Boulevard and Blacow Road.

Witnesses called 911, and police say the 28-year-old suspect was still naked and violently beating the victim when patrol officers arrived on the scene. The victim was then rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but including multiple serious injuries and fractures to her face and body!

At least 2 women victims! According to police, just hours before the crime, the suspect also attacked a 57-year-old woman near Great Mall. The victim was walking in the area when Lomax punched her in the back of the head and pushed her to the ground, police said. The suspect later fled the scene.

During the course of the investigation, police also discovered that the suspect had also struck a third victim, 75, on May 5.

Police are calling for more victims to come forward, and thus police believe there are more victims. The police also issued a statement through the media to express their sympathy and support for the victims and their concern for the security of the area.

Fremont’s Chinese Mayor Lily Mei also said, “This kind of violence is unacceptable… I urge our District Attorney to prioritize this case and ensure the suspect is held accountable for these atrocious crimes …. More than ever, I am calling on our community to take action, not stand by and watch.”

The suspect is in custody and police have reportedly committed additional resources to investigate additional victims in connection with this case and to ensure that victim support services are available to all. The suspect is facing charges of rape, attempted kidnapping, assault, restraint of movement, violent battery, assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury to a victim and elder abuse. He is currently in custody.

We urge Bay Area residents to pay special attention to travel safety, do not walk in remote areas, and if there is a suspicious person in front of your home, immediately take cover, call for help and call 911.
