Samsung Electronics has developed a smartphone with a bi-fold OLED screen, and on Monday (17) began to showcase a prototype at a network exhibition hosted in the United States; on the same platform, Samsung has also scheduled to showcase a display that can be pulled again.
The double-foldable mobile phone screen is developed by Samsung Display, which is also part of the Samsung Group, and it is hoped that in addition to Samsung’s own brand of mobile phones, it will also be used by more smartphone brands.
The Nikkei News said that Samsung Group is making good use of the group’s internal research and development capabilities to launch a foldable phone with a screen in 2019, the industry’s leading group. The double-fold design, which was released again on Monday, may be able to establish a new concept for the smartphone design that is fast changing out of unique patterns.
The pull-out screen is the idea of restructuring LG Electronics. LG released such a display screen in January this year, but a few months later announced its withdrawal from the cell phone market. Samsung plans to develop more next-generation display screen type.
