From March 12 to May 7 this year, the Food and Drug Administration inspected 5 indicators of preservatives, tar coloring, food poisoning bacteria, etc. in 289 kimchi products declared for import by 55 Chinese manufacturers and found that 15 products contained Yersinia pestis, which can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache and other symptoms after infection; in addition, among 4 pickled cabbage products declared for import by 2 manufacturers, 1 manufacturer was found to produce In addition, among the four pickled cabbage products declared for import by two manufacturers, two products from one manufacturer were found to contain dehydroacetic acid.
According to reports, the Food and Drug Administration has imposed administrative sanctions on the manufacturers of garlic products with excessive bacterial levels, and will conduct five consecutive rounds of precision checks on the above-mentioned declared imported products to ensure food safety.
