The Gateway Pundit reported on May 14 that Walmart announced Friday that customers and employees will no longer be required to wear masks in its stores, provided they are fully vaccinated.
The new rule, stated in a memo sent to employees, allows customers to shop without masks, and starting Tuesday, employees will not be required to wear masks to work. Signage in stores will also be updated to reflect the change.
The memo specifies that “fully vaccinated” means two weeks after a second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or two weeks after a single dose of Johnson & Johnso.
On the same day Walmart made this announcement, Trader Joe’s also announced that it would no longer require masks in their stores. The chain’s CPC virus update said they are urging “customers to follow the guidance of health officials and CDC guidelines that recommend that fully vaccinated customers do not need to wear masks while shopping.
Walmart did not say how it would verify that customers or employees were fully vaccinated.
