The name Guo Lanying is not unfamiliar to anyone over the age of 40 in mainland China today, and she can even sing the lyrics of her songs, such as “The flowers in the flower basket are fragrant, listen to me sing” and “If the wolf comes, it will be greeted with a hunting rifle”. It can be said that Guo Lanying was a highly popular Chinese Communist Party singer from the 1950s to the 1970s, and her sweet but lie-filled voice became an effective tool for the Communist Party to brainwash the public, while she died in the Cultural Revolution.
My Motherland”, a sweet song full of lies
Guo Lanying, born in December 1929, starred in many Jin operas in her early years, and became famous in the world of foreign opera for her handsome costumes, sweet voice and rhythmic lines. After joining the Chinese Communist Army, she knocked out her two gold teeth to show her “revolutionary” spirit.
After the establishment of the Chinese Communist Party in 1949, Guo Lanying not only starred in operas such as “White Maiden”, “Liu Hulan” and “Red Haze”, but also sang songs such as “Nanniwan”, “Turning Over the Road”, “The Flowers of Shandandan are Red”, “Embroidered Golden Plaque”, “My Motherland” and “Women’s Freedom Song”, which were widely circulated.
However, behind these sweet songs are filled with one lie after another. For example, in the song “My Motherland”, the “U.S. imperialists” who sent troops to Korea on the orders of the United Nations to maintain stability and peace on the Korean peninsula are compared to wolves, which clearly contradicts the historical facts. The historical truth is that more than 60 years ago, it was Kim Il Sung of North Korea who started the war and, with the support of the Soviet Union and the Chinese Communist Party, attacked North Korea and confronted the U.S.-led United Nations forces, resulting in the armistice agreement signed at Panmunjom at the expense of the Chinese Communist Party, which suffered more than 1 million casualties and left Prince Mao behind.
To add to the embarrassment of the Chinese Communist Party, two-thirds of its POWs refused to return to the mainland, instead strongly demanding to go to other countries. Eventually, the 10,000 or so POWs went to Taiwan and the United States. Decades later, when the 6,672 POWs who died after being persuaded to return to China faced their former comrades in their homes, they could only cry tears.
Sweet song filled with lies of “Nanniwan
For example, the melodious song “Nanniwan” is almost familiar to many Chinese people. “The flowers of the flower basket are fragrant, listen to me to sing, sing, sing, sing. Came to Nanniwan, Nanniwan good place, good place ah square. Good place to come good scenery, good place to come good scenery, everywhere is crops, everywhere is cattle and sheep ……” This song has aroused the desire of many people to Nanniwan, however, how many people know Nanniwan everywhere is not crops, but opium.
A scholar on the mainland disclosed after investigation that Nanniwan was the only primitive forest in the Yan’an area, which was cut down and burned by Wang Zhen’s 359th Brigade in an extremely barbaric and backward way to grow a large area of opium; Zhang Sid, in “Serving the People”, was buried alive in a kiln during the process of burning tobacco soil. The former TASS correspondent and Moscow correspondent in Yan’an, Peter Vladimir Vladimirovoye, was buried alive in a kiln during the process of burning tobacco. This is also confirmed by the Yan’an Diary of Vladimir Vladimirovoye.
The sweet songs are full of lies: “Turning over to the road of love
For example, the song “Turning over to the Lord” is a folk song based on the tones of the Northern Shaanxi Province, in which the song praises “the people’s new status as masters under the leadership of the Communist Party of China” and praises “Mao Sun” for giving the peasants an equal share of the land.
But the real situation is that at the early stage of the Chinese Communist Party’s establishment, Mao adopted a planned and systematic campaign of “transformation” or “elimination” in order to consolidate one-party dictatorship, and the “land reform” to eliminate rural landlords was the first step. Land Reform” was the first step. The CCP encouraged the peasants without land, especially the rogue and hooligan peasants in the countryside, to fight against the peasants and landlords with land, encouraging and indulging the selfish, selfish, unethical and immoral side of human nature. The result was that at least 30 million peasants were hit in various degrees, at least 2 million landowners were suppressed and stripped of all their property, and hundreds of thousands of landowners were killed. The landlords (gentry), who had played an important role in the stability of society and in the education of the people, were completely eliminated.
After that, traditional morals and values gradually disappeared in the Chinese countryside. The peasants lost their spiritual “mentors” and objects of emulation. The turmoil in rural China became a problem that the Communist Party had difficulty solving. Those peasants who had been given land through the landlord struggle lost it again two years later during the mutual aid groups and rural cooperative movements. After that, the peasants were reduced to second-class citizens of the state due to the introduction of the household registration system. At least 40 million peasants were starved to death during the great famine caused by the Chinese Communist Party from 1959 to 1961. The peasants got nothing at all from the land reform, except slavery. And, to this day, the peasants have not “turned over a new leaf”!
Sweet songs filled with lies: “The Blossoming of the Mountain Dandan” and “Embroidered Golden Tablet
Guo Lanying’s other two songs, “Sandan Dan Blossoms Red and Beautiful” and “Embroidered Gold Plaque”, the former is an ode to Mao Zedong, and the latter is an ode to Mao, Zhu De and Zhou Enlai. In these two songs, Mao is portrayed as “the savior who is dedicated to the people”, Zhu as “the commander-in-chief who works for the survival of the people”, and Zhou as “the good premier who is dedicated to the people”. This has been proven to be a lie as well.
According to overseas scholars, there is no dictator in Chinese history whose sins are comparable to Mao’s, and countless people have been killed by him directly and indirectly. Rough estimates suggest that at least 80 million people were persecuted to death, especially as a result of the Cultural Revolution, which was unprecedented in its destruction of traditional Chinese culture and society.
In the official propaganda of the CCP, Zhou Enlai, who is portrayed as having done his utmost to die, was an accomplice to the evil-doers. The question is: After Mao Zedong’s establishment of the government, he used various means to brutally exclude dissidents, knocked down Liu Shaoqi, Deng Xiaoping, Lin Biao, Peng Dehuai, He Long and a large number of close comrades, launched the Agrarian Reform, Three Against, Five Against, Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution and other campaigns, which caused the catastrophe in China and the world, through what means did Zhou Enlai, who was once the core of the CPC leadership, protect himself? What role did Zhou Enlai play in the brutal internal struggle of the Party?
The book “Zhou Enlai in Later Years” by Mr. Gao Wenqian, who used to work in the Document Research Office of the CPC Central Committee and now lives in the United States, reveals some detailed information for the first time and says, “Zhou Enlai’s loyalty to the ruler, his tolerance of humiliation, and his focus on the overall situation were effective tools for the CPC to smooth out internal ideological differences and maintain intra-party unity, or rather, to maintain the core system of the CPC. For a long time, Zhou Enlai’s moral image and edifying role was a kind of congealing agent to maintain the centralized system characterized by the CCP’s one core. To touch Zhou and invite Zhou Enlai down from the altar would be to show the world the cruelty of this set of things.”
The people’s “good commander” Zhu De, however, was later revealed to be a bandit-like figure who grew opium, smoked cigarettes, minted counterfeit money, and preferred prostitution.
In addition to the songs mentioned above, all the other songs that Guo Lanying sang in praise of the Chinese Communist Party had lies hidden behind them. And how many Chinese people have been poisoned by this sweet song full of lies for decades!
Nine Deaths in the Cultural Revolution
In an interview with Phoenix TV in 2013, Guo Lanying mentioned that she died during the Cultural Revolution.
She was branded as a counter-revolutionary, and was subjected to cowsheds, hard labor, humiliation, and criticism. It is said that she escaped once and was tortured and burned to death with fire chopsticks when she was captured. Fortunately, she survived the Cultural Revolution.
Conclusion
It is sad that Guo Lanying, who was deceived and killed by the Chinese Communist Party for a long time, not only opened a school to pass on her knowledge to the younger generation, but also continued to sing the songs that whitewashed the Chinese Communist Party even after she reached her old age. And who is the root cause of all this, if not the Chinese Communist Party?
