Romney voted twice to impeach Trump and was condemned by resolutions passed by the Weber and Washington County Republican Parties in Utah

The Breitbart News reported May 9 that the Weber County (Utah) Republican Party convention, on Saturday, censured Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) for voting to impeach him in both Trump impeachment cases.

Weber County Republican Party Chairman Jill Koford said Weber County Republican Party members passed a resolution condemning Romney 116-97. “The Weber County Republican Convention condemns Romney’s votes to convict President Trump in two impeachment trials in the U.S. Senate,” the resolution reads. Weber County added to the resolution by thanking Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) for voting against the unconstitutional charges and protecting “due process and the Constitution of the United States.

In addition, the resolution thanked Utah’s U.S. Representatives Chris Stewart (R), John Curtis (R), Blake Moore (R) and Burgess Owens (R) for “voting against the Democrats’ politically motivated impeachment “

The Washington County (Utah) Republican Party, also voted to censure Romney in April, also for voting to convict Trump in both impeachment trials, according to the Daily Mail.

At the Utah Republican Party convention in early May, Romney was also heckled by many attendees, with many in the audience chanting that Romney was a “communist” and a “traitor.
