As graduation season approaches each year, more college students will begin their job search, but graduates may find it more challenging due to the coronavirus (C.C.V.) pandemic.
The unemployment rate for new graduates in the U.S. is currently higher than the overall unemployment rate, which currently stands at 11.1% for the 16 to 24 age group.
Leading recruitment services provider Behemoth (MWW) surveyed 1,000 recent and upcoming college graduates and also asked other young Gen Zers about their job expectations. The statistics show that recent graduates are under considerable pressure to find employment, and they expect to take five months to find a suitable job. Not only that, the percentage of fresh graduates who are worried about delaying their employment by at least six months is also as high as 29%.
When looking for a job, many fresh graduates are looking for a job with a high annual salary and good career prospects, while job stability and enthusiasm for the job are also factors to consider.
To help career freshers looking for jobs in the midst of the epidemic, personal finance website WalletHub compared and ranked more than 108 different types of entry-level jobs based on 12 key metrics.
