DeSantis also mentioned that trucks full of violent supplies, which are often found in protest areas, are used by protesters to attack police officers with bricks from the trucks. Governor DeSantis stressed, “We don’t want this to happen in Florida. “
DeSantis warned Antifa/Black Lives Matter elements, “If you’re in Portland and think you can come to Florida and start a riot, stay away, we don’t want you to come. If you do come and start a riot, there will be ‘swift and severe’ consequences. “
DeSantis noted that there are many places in the United States that are not supporting law enforcement and are reducing police funding, leading to a spike in crime not seen in decades. DeSantis believes that without public safety and order, society will collapse.
