Forbes Taiwan’s 50 richest people Shoe King Chang Chung-Yuan tops the list

Taiwan’s Huali Industries specializes in the production of footwear for brands such as Nike and Puma, and after its initial public offering in April this year, its share price soared, and founder Chang Tsung-yuen’s value rose, with his personal net worth reaching $13.8 billion, making him the top of Forbes’ list of Taiwan’s richest people.

The second place on the list was taken by the brothers Tsai Macro and Tsai Cheng Ta, the chairman of Cathay Financial Holdings, with a net worth of $9.2 billion.

“Forbes” magazine said that although the epidemic disrupted the economies of various countries, but most of the enterprises in Taiwan were not affected. Due to the increase in technology exports and the growth in domestic demand, Taiwan’s economic performance was among the best in Asia, growing by 3% over last year. This year, 36 people on the list of billionaires have increased assets.
