Henan officials simulate “Long March of the Red Army” Former professor at party school criticizes promotion of violence Communist Party returns to dangerous Maoist era

On May 6, 2021, the Henan Nanyang Tourism Bureau organized an “innovative study of Party history” in which the director led his subordinates and representatives of the public in a “mock Long March”.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) is promoting the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party this July, so a wide range of propaganda activities have been created across the country, but many of them are low quality and brainwashing materials. Cai Xia, a former professor at the Party School of the Communist Party of China (CPC), blasted local officials in Henan Province on Twitter for waving swords and spears to simulate the “Long March of the Red Army” as propaganda for Communist violence. Critics say Xi Jinping is leading China back to the dangerous Maoist era. (By Wu Yitong/Cheng Wen)

The Communist Party of China (CPC) authorities are launching a series of “Party history education” campaigns on the eve of the party’s centennial, with governments, institutions, and even religious groups at all levels scrambling to show their loyalty to the authorities.

Cai Xia, a former professor at the CPC Central Party School who was expelled from the party for criticizing Xi Jinping’s dictatorship and now lives in the United States, uploaded a video Thursday (6) showing Zheng Wenming, secretary of the party group and director of the Nanyang Tourism Bureau in Henan province, leading subordinate officials and representatives of the public in a parody of the “Long March of the Red Army.

In the video, fires are lit to create a battlefield atmosphere, swords and spears are waved, and actors playing the role of the Communist Red Army punch and kick a dozen Nationalist soldiers. Afterwards, the Red Army actors waved red flags to celebrate their “victory”.

Cai Xia blasted local officials for promoting the history of the CCP in a ridiculous way, showing that the CCP is addicted to violence and uses terror to maintain its rule, as well as lies to deceive the public. According to Cai Xia, this chaotic situation also exposes that the CCP is metamorphosing back to its violent revolutionary nature in the context of a civilized era.

On Twitter, Cai Xia criticized the performance style of learning the Party’s history and promoting violence. It shows that the CCP’s ideology is metamorphosing and reverting back to its violent revolutionary nature. (Cai Xia’s tweet)

Our reporter dialed the phone number of Henan Nanyang Tourism Bureau, the staff evaded the reporter’s questions.

The staff of Nanyang Tourism Bureau in Henan Province said: the Tourism Bureau to learn the history of the Party activities, well, this piece I do not know much about this stuff.

The founder of the company, Wan Runnan, who was forced into exile in France for supporting the students during the “1989 academic movement”, told the station that through various party history learning activities before the founding of the Communist Party, it is clear that Xi Jinping is intensifying his efforts to shape the gods and bring society back to the violent era of Mao Zedong. And the governments at all levels are throwing themselves at the top, and the chaos that has flourished shows the signs of the end times.

Wan Runnan said: “Now the Chinese Communist Party is changing history, the whole thing is back to Mao (era), there are only two leaders in the 100-year history of the Chinese Communist Party, one leader is Mao Zedong, and the second is this fool (Xi Jinping). Mao made people “stand up”, this fool made people “strong” and “hate”. It’s brainwashing is really working. It was a sign of the end of the world, an era was coming to an end, it was going crazy. The Cultural Revolution was so crazy that old Mao was finished, and this time someone has to be finished too.

Cheng Yizhong, a veteran media personality currently living in New York, agrees with Cai Xia’s criticism that Xi Jinping is leading the country back to the era of “class struggle,” as in the case of the Cultural Revolution, and that officials at all levels simply dare not resist.

Cheng Yizhong said: “Now the Chinese Communist Party is in full ideological degradation, basically back to Mao’s “class struggle, the contradiction between the enemy and me” era, the whole country is very absurd, who dare not disobey ah. Xi (Jinping)’s personal positioning is at least comparable to Mao’s, back to Mao’s “one big, two public”, unified and unified such an ideology, all resources, all interests, all achievements are monopolized in the hands of the party.

Some netizens believe that the local officials in Henan are educating the public on hate purely to cater to Xi Jinping’s vicious fetishes. These officials are “only righteous when it is safest, and impassioned when it is free”.

However, the official media reported positively that Henan authorities had planned an immersion tour of the “Long March of the 25th Red Army” and recreated scenes of the Chinese Communist war. The event covered a total distance of 4.5 kilometers, with the entire group wearing Red Army uniforms, walking the Red Army road, singing Red Army songs, eating Red Army meals, and performing scenes along the way. The report especially emphasized the Nationalist army as the “enemy army”.

This year is the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which recently launched the 2021 edition of “A Brief History of the Communist Party of China”. Under the leadership of Xi Jinping, the black spots of the CCP’s history have been erased and content from Xi’s rise to power has been added to create his personal aura; the CCP authorities have also launched a propaganda campaign that includes education on Party history. Party history education has even entered elementary school classrooms and the Buddhist community.
