singer Li Mingwei passed away after suffering from cancer.
She died at the age of 31.
Li Mingwei, a member of the group Xiao Longfeng, was diagnosed with a rare form of adenoid cystic cancer in 2012, one of the most malignant forms of cancer, and did not give up on herself after her diagnosis.
After undergoing painful electrotherapy and chemotherapy, her vocal cords and nasal cavity were affected, but she did not give up singing and continued her singing career during the treatment.
Recently, Lee Ming Wei said on social media that she was hospitalized again. Lee Ming Wei revealed that she was hospitalized for 5 days, mainly for pumping ascites and reducing flatulence. She needed oxygen for a long time because of breathing difficulties. The doctor also gave her painkillers to reduce her pain, and she was transferred to a nursing home after her discharge, when she still hoped she would recover and go home soon.
After 9 years of fighting cancer, Lee Ming Wei was unable to resist the disease and her friend Ma Jun Wei logged on to her social networking account to announce her death.
According to Ma Jun Wei, in accordance with Lee Ming Wei’s wishes and on behalf of her family, she passed away on May 4, 2021 at 5:10 p.m. after a long illness.
Later, Ma Junwei posted a tribute to Lee Ming Wei on his social network account: “No more pain! No need to be afraid anymore! Be good and wait for brother Ma in the sky home! We are waiting for that day in silence, goodbye!” .
On April 30, Lee Ming Wei, who knew his days were numbered, also left a last message through his friend Ma Jun Wei, who said, “Thank you all for your concern for me, as my health has become worse, I really can’t reply to everyone’s greetings one by one, thank you for your concern and support! What will be the future road, I myself are not clear, but I will still try, I hope!” .
