In the early morning of May 6, a chemical plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, a violent explosion, flames rushed hundreds of meters into the air, 200 meters away from the scene of the glass were shattered, the sound of the explosion spread to 3 kilometers away, some people thought an earthquake. Officials said there were no casualties.
According to local media reports, at 3:14 on May 6, an explosion occurred in the production unit of Ningbo Keyuan Fine Chemical Co. There were no casualties.
Employees working the night shift at a factory 200 meters away from the explosion site reported that at around 3:10 a.m., they suddenly heard multiple explosions and realized that the nearby factory had exploded and the glass in the factory was shattered.
Nearby residents were awakened by the sound of violent explosions, and others thought an earthquake had occurred, and people 3 kilometers away heard the explosion and felt the tremor. There are also residents smelled the pungent smell.
The video posted by netizens shows. There were multiple explosions and flames rushed a hundred meters into the air, lighting up the night sky. The woman who shot the video said, “Oh my God, where is this? 2 explosions, flames rushing to the sky, so pungent smell. It’s a chemical plant.”
It seemed like the whole factory was burning violently, burning into a huge torch. Because the factory is right on the beach, I don’t know if there will be a leak of dangerous chemicals.
