U.S. media exclusive: Biden DOJ interferes with forensic audit Arizona Republican Party chairman comments

On May 5, local media in Arizona reported that Biden’s Justice Department would be “involved in some capacity” in the ongoing forensic audit, and that evening The Gateway Pundit interviewed Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward to discuss the latest development.

According to Dr. Ward, “The Department of Justice has no authority to get involved in an audit under the direction of the state legislature. The Brennan Center for Justice and the left-wing folks at the Democracy Project have been emphasizing federal intervention in the process. And Secretary of State Katie Hobbs has allowed people from both organizations to enter the arena to represent the Secretary of State and the Secretary of State’s office, which is alarming. Secretary Hobbs also wrote a ridiculous letter to Ken Bennett, the head of the forensic audit, which included all sorts of false allegations.”

On Wednesday, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division wrote a letter to Arizona Senate President Karen Fann asking for a response to the Division’s concerns about ballot security and potential voter intimidation. The Department of Justice wants to know if there are adequate security measures in place to protect the ballots from any alteration, destruction, tampering and theft. Dr. Ward commented on this issue by stating, “There were 19 armed guards at the audit site, security cameras everywhere, and nine public cameras. “

There are reports claiming that the scope of work for the audit firm, Cyber Ninjas, is to go out and knock on doors to verify voter information, and the DOJ said in the letter that in the past when doing this work, it tended to focus on minority areas, and the DOJ wanted to make sure that no voter intimidation was occurring. Dr. Ward commented, “No voter intimidation was done by the Arizona Senate, the Auditor or Republicans.”
