On May 4, actor Zhang Yi talked about his experience of shooting “Above the Cliff” in an interview with Cat’s Eye Movie, which sparked a lot of discussion among netizens.
Since the movie is set in the northeast, many scenes were shot in severe cold weather.
Zhang Yi revealed that a small group of actors had severe frostbite during filming, and their fingers had turned white and their knuckles were as stiff as plastic, as if they were about to break off when touched.
Zhang Yan said he was from Harbin and realized that the small actor’s condition was dangerous and that if he was sent to the doctor late it would probably be amputated.
Fortunately, Zhang Yi reacted quickly and found the condition of the young actor in time, using the “native method” of his hometown, using snow to keep rubbing the hands of the young actor, which prevented the tragedy.
