The world has been ravaged by China’s Wuhan pneumonia (CCP pneumonia), which has devastated people’s livelihoods and the economy. The Chinese Communist Party is certainly the culprit, and WHO Secretary General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has also been severely criticized internationally for licking the delay in warning about the epidemic. The U.S. medical information website “Stat News” reported that sources close to the situation revealed that the WHO will elect a new secretary-general next year, and Tedros Ghebreyesus already has plans to seek re-election, but Reuters broke the news that Tedros Ghebreyesus is afraid that even his home country, Ethiopia, will not be able to get support.
Tan Desai, from Ethiopia, became the first African leader of the UN agency in 2017, with the strong support of the Chinese Communist Party, and his term will expire in 2022. The formerly unheard-of Tan Desai became widely known for his failure to alert international attention to the outbreak of Wuhan pneumonia (CCP pneumonia) early last year, and his visit to China to “meet” Xi Jinping, making him a licker of the Communist Party. Afterwards, the epidemic became so out of control that not only did President Donald Trump criticize the WHO under his leadership as a puppet of the Chinese Communist Party, but he also withdrew from the WHO in anger, while countries such as Europe, Japan and South Korea also failed to prevent the epidemic in time because they listened to the WHO’s advice, leading to the global fall under the threat of the epidemic until now.
It is understood that the WHO election of a new Secretary-General will be launched in September this year, 194 member countries can nominate candidates before September, and the election will be held next year. The WHO secretary-general is appointed for a five-year term and has to be re-elected once.
No one else has been heard of yet to step forward to compete for the secretary-general’s throne, and Tandse himself is afraid to say anything. According to Reuters quoted diplomatic personnel, Tan Desai re-election key in the support of African countries, but there are rumors, even his own home country, Ethiopia, do not support.
