The Gateway Pundit reported on May 1 that Senator Mitt Romney (Mitt Romney) was booed and jeered enthusiastically by more than 1,900 Republicans at the Utah Republican Party convention held at the Maverik Center in West Valley City that day, calling Romney a ” Communist” and “traitor. Derek Brown, chairman of the Utah Republican Party, intervened to try to calm the crowd, but the delegates continued to get up in arms. I’m afraid Romney will never forget this day. See video at
Romney, who was the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, losing to Barack Obama, who was seeking re-election, is one of the establishment bigwigs in the Republican Party, who has been running against Trump, according to historical information. The Mormon Church, to which he adheres, also has an anti-Trump stance and now supports immigration and globalization. Romney’s vote to impeach President Trump in February this year was unanimously opposed by Republican voters. Utah Republicans, however, voted unsuccessfully to censure him this Saturday, with 711 voting to censure Romney and 798 voting against, indicating a clear divide within the state’s Republican Party. Nonetheless, the 74-year-old Romney is out of touch with his voter base and can’t make any big waves.
