Hu Xijin reminded Fujian that it must be foolproof, and that if there is a missed detection of infected people, the resulting impact could be so great that “it will not only affect the economic and social development situation of the whole province of Fujian, but will also lead to the worry and avoidance of Fujian by other provinces and regions in the country, and will even generate questions about the political opening of Fujian Province to Taiwan”, he added Fujian Province “needs to listen and face up to the public’s doubts and fierce accusations”.
