Clinton had invited Epstein to the White House, handshake photo exposed

This weekend, several U.S. media outlets reported on a historical photo showing New York mogul Jeffrey Epstein being invited to the White House by former President Bill Clinton in September 1993, during which the two shook hands while his girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, looked on. Epstein was imprisoned for pedophilia and committed suicide in prison in August 2019.

Fox News noted that the two were guests of honor for Clinton, who toured the president’s residence and East Room at a lavish reception for the donors. Epstein donated £7,820 to renovate the Oval Office and was rewarded by attending a White House party hosted by Clinton and his wife, Hillary.

The financier was first convicted in 2008 on suspicion of sex crimes against minors after an investigation was launched in 2005.

A source told The Sunday Sun, “These photos show how close Maxwell and Epstein are to one of the most powerful people in the world – again, in the most powerful building in the world.”

The paper said Clinton befriended Maxwell and Epstein, and that the politician was alleged to have traveled on the billionaire’s Lolita Express after leaving the White House.

The Daily Beast says they were allegedly invited to the White House three times during Clinton’s presidency.

Clinton has denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.

The 1993 party was held for those who provided a £290,000 donation for the renovation of the Oval Office. White House social secretary Ann Stock, who was the liaison for the reception, is also listed in Epstein’s Little Black Book (a personal address book).

U.S. media reported that the former president also had a private dinner with Maxwell in 2014, long after Epstein was convicted of child sexual abuse.

Clinton has denied ever visiting Epstein’s private island in the Bahamas, but accuser Virginia Giuffre claims to have been on the island at the same time as the former president.

Earlier, Maxwell pleaded not guilty to two other sex trafficking charges during her first court appearance since her arrest. The British socialite was arraigned in a Manhattan court on the new sex trafficking charge added to the indictment three weeks ago.

Her lawyer entered a not guilty plea and a black sedan with a padlock was seen driving by, carrying Maxwell to the Brooklyn jail.

The rewritten indictment filed last month against the 59-year-old British socialite adds sex trafficking charges, alleging that Maxwell recruited three teenage girls for sexual abuse by then-boyfriend Epstein between 1994 and 1997.

Maxwell’s trademark short black hair was left long, revealing gray at the roots, and she appeared noticeably more frail than at her last hearing in July. There was no indication that her husband, Scott Borgerson, would show up to support her.

Sources close to Maxwell’s family told The Telegraph that her appearance was prompted by Maxwell’s desire to “face her accusers head-on” and to leave her cell for the time being.

According to the new indictment, a 14-year-old girl was sexually abused multiple times from 2001 to 2004 at Epstein’s Palm Beach, Fla. residence.

A follow-up trial is scheduled for July 12 for Maxwell, who is accused of recruiting and grooming teenage girls to provide sexual services to her ex-boyfriend from 1994 to 2004.

Maxwell’s attorneys say she lost weight and lost her hair because of her poor treatment during her incarceration. They say she was becoming a “shell of her former self” as she was woken up by flashing lights every 15 minutes. Her lawyers say these conditions are more fitting for Hannibal Lecter, the fictional serial killer from the movie “The Silence of the Lambs.
