On April 21, the U.S. Senate Foreign Affairs Committee passed the Strategic Competition Act by a large majority. The entire 281-page document targets the Chinese Communist Party and covers almost every aspect of diplomacy, economics, science and technology, and the military. The bill is expected to be passed by the Senate by a large majority and then signed by Biden for implementation.
On the same day, a bipartisan group of Democrats and Republicans called on Congress to pass the Endless Frontier Act, which would target high-tech development in order to face Chinese competition and develop a plan to address the supply chain crisis.
Enabling a powerful enemy is a disgrace
In 2020 alone, the U.S. Congress will pass ten bills dealing with the Chinese Communist Party, not including the annual National Defense Authorization Act that addresses arms competition. There are more executive orders issued by the U.S. government in the areas of Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan, high technology, armaments, and diplomacy, and a dizzying array of new bills and regulations every three or two days.
The Strategic Competition Act is all-encompassing, strategic, long-range planning, and a bill that covers all executive policies. The bill contains five major chapters that encompass Beijing’s problematic actions in various areas, including predatory economic practices, malicious influence operations, development of digital authority, military expansion, ambitions for Taiwan, and oppression of Hong Kong and Xinjiang.
The U.S. Congress is almost a bit exasperated by the back-to-back introduction of bills to confront the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), for one thing, because it is soberly aware that the CCP threat has killed and buried itself, for another, because it is painfully aware that America’s world leadership role is slipping away, and for another, because it is exasperated by the years of being fooled by the CCP. It is a great shame for the United States to support a weak person that it does not even see as a strong enemy that it cannot deal with. This is not only based on paralysis and carelessness, but also a lack of knowledge of others, and the main reason is that it is too arrogant, coupled with the divide between Chinese and Western cultures.
After World War II, the U.S. led the Western camp, and the former Soviet Union’s socialist camp was eventually destroyed. The Americans believed that history was over and the world was settled, and did not take the CCP seriously, and mistook Deng Xiaoping’s “Towers of Light” for a flag drop.
The “Towers of Light and Obscurity” is not a real defeat, but only a temporary patience, only a rest and recuperation plan to rise again in the future. During the Spring and Autumn Warring States, King Goujian of Yue tried even the feces of Fu Cha in order to gain his trust, and there is no bottom line for the Chinese to take revenge and restore their country.
The United States for decades to accept a large number of Chinese students to learn new technology and new knowledge, after learning to imitate, imitation is not enough to buy, buy is not enough to steal, almost the United States of America’s technological heritage are in hand to capture, and then power bending over the car. The U.S. is not worried about this, allowing the CCP to buy and divide in various international organizations, recognizing friends and relatives, and when the U.S. turns around, it finds that its small brothers are scattered and allies are carrying the load, while the CCP is in its old mind, presiding over the big picture. The U.S. is still at peace with this, allowing the CCP to engage in big foreign propaganda in the U.S., using left-leaning thinking to make trouble, bribing politicians, cultural infiltration, the whole country is a fan of the CCP, teaming up to interfere with politics, seeing that domestic politics is also subverted, and only then the U.S. woke up like a dream.
Not eating Beijing’s way of begging for mercy
Based on the painful lesson of being fooled and the reality that you and I live and die in terms of values, the United States has no more mercy for the CCP, and when dealing with the CCP, we have to budget his bad intentions and prevent him from using various means to seek private gains. Today, the United States is only afraid of not doing enough to the Chinese Communist Party, not afraid of doing too much.
Earlier Biden’s climate envoy Kerry went to Shanghai and persuaded Xi Jinping to attend Biden’s climate summit, and the U.S. rewarded the CCP by sending ambassadors to each other.
Recently, Xi Jinping shouted to countries at Boao Forum, meaning that the United States is unethical and bullying others, and Li Keqiang asked foreign businessmen to dialogue, opposing decoupling and emphasizing that China’s open door will be opened wider and wider, and that the Chinese Communist Party hopes to resume relations with the United States, reduce friction and avoid the Cold War. But to this day, the Americans do not eat this. The Americans say, “Don’t listen to what the CCP says, but watch what the CCP does.
The Anti-Communist Act of the U.S. Congress represents the public opinion of the U.S., and any government has to comply with it, which is the nightmare that the CCP has to face. The Chinese Communist Party is begging for mercy while preparing for war, which also reflects their pessimistic attitude towards the future. The communiqué of the US-Japan summit meeting has brought out nuclear weapons, the world anti-communist front is taking shape, and only Xi Jinping himself knows how the time and situation will be favorable to the CCP.
