U.S. climate envoy John Kerry, Secretary of State John Blinken and President Joe Biden participate in a video climate summit of leaders on April 22. U.N. Secretary-General Guterres speaks.
A two-day video summit of climate change leaders has concluded. Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo talks about some of Xi Jinping’s comments at the climate summit. He says Xi is not here for a meeting, but for something else. And the U.S. is making a huge mistake on climate.
The Climate Change Leadership Vision Summit, hosted by the U.S. government, was held over two consecutive days from 22 to 23. The leaders of 40 countries and international organizations around the world attended the meeting to discuss how to face climate change.
This was the first major international leaders’ summit hosted by Biden since he took office, and was attended by Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Johnson, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, among others.
Some of Xi’s statements at the climate summit were touted as “golden words” by the Chinese Communist Party’s official media, but were deeply puzzling to veteran American journalist and Fox News host Bill Hemmer.
Hemmer interviewed Pompeo on the 22nd and asked him about Xi Jinping’s statement at the conference: “It is a simple truth that protecting the ecological environment is protecting productivity, and improving the ecological environment is developing productivity.”
This quote was touted by the Chinese Communist Party’s Xinhua website as Xi’s “golden words” at the climate summit.
Hemmer asked Pompeo for advice, “Do you know what this phrase means?”
Pompeo said, “I don’t know what it means.” But one thing is very certain, whatever is going on in Xi’s head, and that is that in his U.S.-China dealings, he wants to expand the power of the Chinese Communist Party to hurt the United States and to claim hegemony around the world.
Pompeo said Xi has other plans, he is not here for the climate agreement, he is not here for the interests of the United States, and he is not here for the people of China, the Chinese Communist Party is a dictatorial, Marxist-Leninist regime, and their aim is to replace the United States as the world’s superpower.
Hemmer went on to quote Biden’s latest tweet, “America is back, back in the Paris agreement, working with the world on the climate crisis.” He asked Pompeo, “Do you think the climate issue is urgent?”
Pompeo replied that everyone wants pure air and safe, clean water, but it would be a huge mistake to put the climate issue ahead of the range of threats facing the United States.
For example, he said, the Chinese Communist Party is a huge threat to the U.S., and their military might and destruction of U.S. infrastructure are far more serious problems than “climate change. The refugee problem at the U.S. southern border is also much more urgent than climate change.
In addition to Pompeo’s disagreement that the climate problem is serious, 10 U.S. states are suing Biden because of his executive order requiring all federal agencies to address what he considers a “climate crisis.
Biden previously said in the executive order that the federal government “must advance environmental justice” as well as efforts to “reduce greenhouse gas emissions” and “increase capacity to address the impacts of climate change. The order was issued on April 22.
On April 22, Biden unveiled a new phase of his climate agenda, vowing that the United States will cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry warned that if left unchallenged, Biden’s order could devastate a range of industries. “Almost every aspect of our economy and culture is threatened by this irrational policy.”
Cao Changqing, a well-known scholar living in the U.S., also commented on social media on the 23rd that the first global 20-nation summit video conference called by Biden after he took office turned out to be a study to deal with excessive atmospheric warming, saying it was the greatest threat to humanity. The average global temperature has only risen by one degree in the past 100 years, but the leftists are using it to oppose the market economy and control human life.
Cao Changqing said that the Chinese Communist virus has killed millions of people, made the world stop working and put on masks, and affected the life of all human beings! Instead of dealing with this greatest threat and holding it accountable, the Biden’s talk about the atmosphere over warming.
The CCP virus broke out in Wuhan in December 2019, but before mid-January 2020, the CCP lied three times that the epidemic was preventable and controllable and would not spread from person to person. This led to the epidemic getting completely out of control and spreading rapidly around the world.
The CCP virus epidemic has now mutated into a much more contagious pandemic that continues to ravage the world. As of the 22nd, this plague of the century has infected more than 140 million people worldwide and killed more than 3 million. Of these, more than 300,000 have been diagnosed in a single person in India.
