U.S. media exclusive: Biden’s 100-day administration is actually a war on small business

The Breitbart News reported Thursday, April 22, that next Thursday marks Biden’s 100th day in office. Next Wednesday night, Biden will deliver a joint speech to Congress, claiming historic success so far.

The Breitbart News believes that Biden’s first 100 days have been, in effect, a declaration of war on small business. Biden’s $1.9 trillion spending bill, passed last month, is producing inflation, and Biden’s numerous environmental executive orders, including the elimination of the Keystone XL pipeline and a ban on drilling on federal lands, are reducing American jobs and raising energy prices. Biden has rolled back the Trump administration’s deregulation and eliminated business-led apprenticeship programs, making it harder for small businesses to operate and harder to find skilled workers.

Biden has proposed a 33 percent increase in the corporate tax rate, and about 1 million small U.S. businesses, set up as corporations, would be affected by this massive tax increase. The millions of other small businesses that serve these businesses are also indirectly threatened by this tax increase.

Biden has nearly doubled the capital gains tax and cut the “step-up” treatment of estate taxes. This would penalize small business owners who have worked all their lives, forcing their descendants to sell their ancestral businesses in order to pay the tax. Biden also wants to raise the top individual tax rate and cut the 20 percent small business tax credit that some 15 million small businesses rely on.

The Professional Act is all about pushing California’s proposed AB5 labor law across the country, and Californians rebuffed AB5, a tough attempt to turn contractors into employees, in a vote last Election Day.

The Professional Act also eliminates right-to-work laws in 27 states, making it easier for bosses to form unions that coerce and intimidate employees by making it mandatory for countless employees to pay hundreds of dollars worth of annual union dues. The bill also prohibits employers from holding meetings to discuss union issues with employees and requires employers to share employees’ private contact information with union representatives. This is one of the most anti-business, anti-employee pieces of legislation to pass the House in decades.

Breitbart News believes that Biden’s policies are a war on small businesses, small business employees and American communities that will cripple a street-level economy currently on the brink of recovery, not unlike what Obama did to small businesses trying to emerge from the Great Recession 10 years ago. In fact, Biden’s first 100 days are a seamless continuation of Obama’s last 100 days, with small businesses again the target of attack.
