A French girl of 8 years old was forcibly taken away from her grandmother’s home on the 13th, and after investigation, it was found that not only the mother was involved, but also a former politician was suspected to be behind the planning. 18 days the girl and her mother were found in Switzerland. The authorities issued an international arrest warrant for the suspect who was in Malaysia to assist in the planning on the 20th.

In the small town of Vosges in eastern France, Mia was forcibly taken from her grandmother’s house by several men at her mother’s request in what authorities said was a sophisticated, military-like operation.

The mother was denied the right to visit her daughter alone or to speak to her on the phone by a court order after her family was informed of her mental state, among other reasons.

After the girl’s abduction, police immediately activated a kidnapping alert and launched a nationwide search. 18 Mia and her mother were found in Switzerland, and five kidnappers were arrested. According to prosecutors in Nancy, Switzerland may have been a stopover and their destination was Russia.

The kidnappers mentioned to police during the investigation that the man behind the kidnapping was Rémy Daillet-Wiedemann, the former president of the Movement for Democracy (MoDem) in the southern Haute-Garonne, who allegedly directed the kidnappers to facilitate the operation, complicating the case.

An international arrest warrant has been issued for Daillet-Wiedemann, who has been living in Malaysia for the past several years, by the Southie court justices. According to the court’s press release, Daye Widmann not only organized the kidnapping but also provided the contact information of the person who met the Miah mother and daughter in Switzerland.

According to the French media, Daje Widmann, 54, became a prominent member of the conspiracy theory movement after he resigned from the party in 2010. Danièle Noël, a member of the Mouvement démocratique party, described him as “crazy, he talks out of turn” and “he believes in conspiracy theories and lives in a fantasy. His statements are not those of a rational person. He is anti-system and anti-national, so we ask him to leave the party”.

Daye Widmann published a film on the internet on the 20th to defend himself. He denied the word “kidnapping” and said he was only “returning” the child. He stressed, “The media is trying to do everything they can to fight us and accuse us of planning kidnappings… Our organization, Freedom and Resistance, is following the request of parents to return their children who were kidnapped by the state. So we are not kidnapping at all.”
