Inoculation deaths reported again in Hong Kong, 17 deaths so far

Hong Kong again rumored that someone died after receiving Wuhan pneumonia (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) vaccine! A man in his 50s was sent to the hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning (18th) in a coma after he became unwell a few days after receiving the China Coxin vaccine earlier this month and was pronounced dead on the same day. At present, Hong Kong has accumulated 17 cases of death due to vaccination, of which as many as 15 cases are related to Kexing.

A man in his 50s went to a gymnasium in Shatin, New Territories, about 2 weeks ago to get his first dose of China’s Coxin vaccine, and was found unconscious in the early hours of yesterday. Related reports indicate that the man had a smoking habit and no history of chronic illness; he was sent to the hospital without a pulse, and his family revealed that the deceased had chest discomfort and other conditions a few days before he was sent to the hospital.

In Hong Kong, the first case of death after vaccination with the Wu Lung vaccine occurred on February 28 this year, and so far in just over a month’s time, 17 people have died after vaccination, 15 of whom were vaccinated with Coxin and two with Fubetai. Even though the expert committee on the assessment of clinical events of the vaccine claimed earlier that the deaths were not directly related to the vaccine, Chief Executive Carrie Lam pointed out on the 8th that as of the 7th, the vaccination rate in Hong Kong was only 7.5%, admitting that the situation was not ideal and that the general lack of confidence in Chinese vaccines among Hong Kong people was reflected in the vaccination rate figures.

In addition, the Hong Kong government announced on the 15th, due to Pfizer / BioNTech “Fubitai” vaccine supply period is limited, coupled with the vaccine can only be stored at – 70 degrees Celsius for 3 to 4 months, so all community vaccination centers will stop operating at the end of September, then the public can only be vaccinated with China Kexing vaccine, the Hong Kong government also has no plans to buy a third vaccine this year.
