The National Archives reported Friday (April 17) that a new House caucus, the America First Caucus, is being formed under the leadership of conservative icons Rep. Paul Gosar (R-CA) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (D-CA), promising to continue to fight for President Trump’s “America First” agenda and to “promote congressional policies that serve the long-term interests of the American people. to “promote congressional policies that serve the long-term national interest of the United States” and that “any proposals put forward will be for the American people, and any corresponding analysis of the policy agenda must be based on this overriding principle.”
The caucus does not seem to fear confrontation with the more establishment wing of their party and declares that “America First Caucus members need to have some intellectual guts to follow in President Trump’s footsteps” by boldly proclaiming an America First platform.
On the issue of election integrity, the America First Caucus pledged to “work to end vote-by-mail voting, implement national voter ID, and conduct a substantive investigation into the 2020 election.”
The Priorities USA Caucus denounced the power wielded by big tech companies and their discrimination against conservatives, proposing solutions that “start with reforming Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.”
The Priorities USA Caucus, respecting America’s unique Anglo-Saxon heritage on immigration, condemned the threat of mass immigration to social trust, to political unity, and to the economic status of American-born people, and summarized the overwhelmingly negative effects of unprecedented post-1965 immigration, calling for an end to illegal immigration and massive cuts in legal immigration.
The America First Caucus also called for an end to foreign wars, arguing that the United States should stop wasting blood and lives as the “policeman of the world,” and that U.S. tax dollars should not be spent abroad, but at home.
The American Priorities Caucus sent a strong, populist message about the communist blockade and the stimulus of the epidemic. The American Priorities Caucus says that now that the damage has been done, many Americans need assistance to pay the bills: the government should effectively provide direct financial support to improve the lives of Americans; and the embargo must be stopped, capacity restrictions lifted, and businesses allowed to continue operating.
In a similar vein, the America First Caucus is a supporter of economic nationalism, not free trade. The America First Caucus says that for decades, politicians from both parties have outsourced American manufacturing, lowering American wages and destroying American communities, especially in rural America. It’s time to stop worshipping idealized free trade and actually provide services to American workers.
The America First Caucus also calls for an end to anti-American ideological indoctrination in schools and for a strengthening of patriotic education.
According to the National Archives, the formation of the America First House Caucus demonstrates that there is a group of members in the House of Representatives who continue to fight hard for the American people.
Members of the America First Caucus include Congressman Gosar, Congressman Green and Congressman Matt Gaetz, with other potential members including Congressman Barry Moore, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and Congressman Lance Gooden.
